---------------------------

Dr. Ekrem SINIR

He graduated from Yeditepe University Physics Department in 2002. He completed his master's degree in 2006 as a result of his studies in the Department of Physics Photonics Group at Yıldız Technical University. He received his PhD from Yeditepe University Physics Department in 2017, and completed his studies in the Magneto-Optics and Magneto-Resistance Research Group of Physics Department of Gebze High Technology Institute with his thesis titled "Structural and Magnetic Properties of Exchange Biased CoO / Co Multilayers”. He was the recipient of Domestic Doctorate Scholarhip of TÜBİTAK BİDEB.

During his undergraduate period, he worked as a student assistant in the establishment of the Mechanical, Electricity-Magnetism, Optics, Advanced Optics and Modern Physics laboratories in the new campus of Yeditepe University, from architectural planning to the installation and performance checks of experimental setups. As a PhD student at Bilkent University Physics Department, he worked as a student laboratory assistant and as a short-term assistant at the Koç University Microphotonics Laboratory, as a full-time research assistant in the Physics Department of Yeditepe University, took part in the establishment of the Temperature Calibration laboratory of Yeditepe University Physics Department and was appointed as the first Quality System Manager of the laboratory. He prepared all the quality system and documentation during the accreditation process of the laboratory within the scope of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and took part in its accreditation by Turkish Accreditation Agency.

He worked as the laboratory manager and a technical specialist in an accredited calibration / inspection body within the scope of ISO/IEC 17025 and 17020, in temperature-humidity, pressure, electricity, balance, dimensional, and volume calibrations; actively involved in fields of clean room validation, microbiological safety cabinet testing , temperature-humidity mapping; in the ongoing process, in establishing calibration-validation-test instruction documents and uncertainty budgets, maintaining accreditation and extension in many scopes including medical metrology activities including baby incubators, radiant heaters, neonatal phototherapy units. By carrying out scope expansion activities, he brought new accreditation scopes to the laboratory in the specified fields, and gave trainings to many participants from the private sector and public institutions.

In September 2015, he started to work as a Senior Researcher in TÜBİTAK UME Pressure Laboratory, took an active role in the calibrations of pressure balances and pressure metrology training activities for both domestic and international participants, joined to the research-publication activities of the laboratory by participating in ongoing EMPIR projects, contributed to the establishment and completion of new EMPIR project partnerships, and scientific publication processes.

Since 2017, he has been involved in the planning and installation of the Quantum Metrology Laboratory within the scope of the UME Research Infrastructure Renewal and Development Project, and has been working as the Chief Senior Researcher since November 2017 and as the laboratory head since August 2018. He has publications in international journals and conference papers in the fields of optics, magnetism, pressure metrology, medical metrology, and quality.

Bahri AYDOĞAN

He graduated from Zonguldak Technical and Industrial Vocational High School’s electronics department in 1993.

He worked as a private security officer at TÜBITAK UME between 2007 and 2014.

He carried out the domestic and international travel processes in TÜBİTAK UME’s Human Resources and Administrative and Social Services units between 2015 and 2018 .

He has been working for the Quantum Metrology Laboratory as a technician responsible for the operation of Wire Bonder and Profilometer devices, in addition to the establishment of the laboratory, since 2018.
