According to an agreement signed on 20 May 2015 between TUBİTAK UME and OPET, a uniquely formulated petroleum marker was developed which is added to all petroleum derivative fuels distributed by OPET. The purpose of the project is to develop and produce a unique fuel marker that will be delivered to OPET once every two months and to provide technical support and calibration services for on-site marker control devices developed by TÜBİTAK UME. Fuel samples that are to be initially analyzed with the on-site control devices will be sent for final analysis to TÜBİTAK UME. The measurement results will be monitored online by authorized company staff from the database maintained by TÜBİTAK UME.
