SEA-EU-NET 2, an Fp7 Project comprised of 20 consortium partners, is supported by the European Commission with a budget of EUR 4 million. The aim is to build upon and leverage strong Europe-Southeast Asia Science and Technology (S&T) relationships developed through past support and coordination actions, to deepen engagement and build momentum in S&T cooperation as well as broadening the scope of Europe-Southeast Asia cooperation through stimulating sustainable innovation collaborations (http://sea-eu.net/).
TÜBİTAK UME, representing European National Metrology Institutes, cooperates with the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia in the project to establish strong Europe-Southeast Asia S&T relationships through metrology research activities. The establishment of cooperation activities in metrology between the two regions will enhance S&T cooperation. European metrology research programmes (EMRP then EMPIR, http://www.emrponline.eu/ ) will be promoted in the Southeast Asia region in order to establish better links between the metrology research organisations of both regions.
