The EMRP ENG01 GAS project aims to develop reference methods and analysis procedures to determine contents of natural gas. Studies have been done within the project to determine the ratio of material components found in standard natural gas. New measurement methods based on laser and microwave measurement techniques have been developed to determine the moisture content of natural gas. The new techniques that were developed were then compared to commercially available techniques.
The Impedence Laboratories of TÜBİTAK UME have worked with the Thermodynamics Laboratory of the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM) within the scope of work package 4.4.2. of the ENG01 GAS project. As a result of the work, a measurement device has been developed to determine the moisture content of natural gas through microwave methods. The device has produced successful measurement results in tests performed at the Thermodynamics Laboratory of INRIM.
