The main purpose of the project “EMRP IND60: Improved EMC Test Methods in Industrial Environments” is to guarantee the quality of non-standard alternative EMC test methods which are widely used in industry for physically large equipment, installed systems and distributed/complex systems as well as smaller items such as consumer electronics. This project will firstly focus on the performance, characterization and improvement of the already existing alternative test methods, and then extensive correlation will be established between the alternative methods used in industry and the standard test methods. This project will also focus on the development of new alternative test methods in accordance with the needs of industry for all types of EMC tests. The JRP-Consortium includes 10 partners from 8 European countries; Turkey, France, Netherlands, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland. The project has seven workpackages overall and project duration of 3 years.
The 40 percent of the project labour will be provided by TÜBİTAK UME. TÜBİTAK UME will play a very active role in all the workpackages and the tasks of the project. These workpackages and tasks include the alternative EMC tests in the scope of conducted emission, conducted immunity, radiated emission and radiated immunity testing areas. Besides, as a project coordinator, TÜBİTAK will be responsible for the impact and management of the whole project. This situation will be very important for UME to be an excellence centre in the EMC area.
