High Temperature Metrology for Industrial Applications (>1000 °C) (HiTeMS)

The overall objective of IND01 is to develop a suite of thermometry techniques for improving high temperature measurement (above 1000 °C) in industry on a broad front in a coherent and comprehensive way.

TÜBİTAK UME participates in WP2 and WP4 of this project.

WP 2: Validated methodology for lifetime and drift tests for contact thermometry sensors (>1000 °C)

Task 2.1: Testing methods for lifetime evaluation of base metal thermocouples

Task 2.2: Investigation of the drift/stability testing of a selected batch of thermocouples

Task 2.3: Development of methods for on-site lifetime and drift testing of thermocouples

WP 4: Validated methods for non-contact thermometry above 2500 °C including novel correcting techniques

Task 4.1: Construction and assessment of in situ self-validation high-temperature fixed points

Task 4.2: Development of a novel correction technique for industrial measurements through windows

Task 4.3: In situ testing of self-validation methods.
