EMRP IND12, an EMRP project compromising 12 consortium partners, is supported by European Commission with a budget of 2,8 million Euro. In the past the focus was to establish standards for total pressures for pure gases under stable conditions and for secondary leaks. The aims are to establish standards, develop new measurement methods and provide knowledge for partial pressures, fast dynamic pressures and leak measurements, since these quantities need to be measured to control industrial processes. Standardization will help industry to have comparable measurements available. This project will lead to a facility for dynamic pressures and establish traceability for partial pressures, outgassing rates and leak rate measurement in industry.

TÜBİTAK UME who is the leader of one of the tasks will mainly contribute to partial pressure measurements and leak measurements. As well as the environmental influences on the leakage measurements, UME will carry out his works on the influences of operational parameters on QMS measurements and stability of QMS over time using different types of gases. TÜBİTAK UME will contribute to the creation of new measurement procedures and standards on related issues that are felt the lack around the world.
